Better Stock Photos

Tired of the same old “stocky” stock photo sites, showing those fake-looking, staged photos?  E.g. the photo of 4 people who are all dressed impeccably, and smiling all (just pure chance here) different ethnicities, but are great friends??  Having great fun!!  With great teeth!

Well us too, so we put together a quick list here to help everyone out, some new better stock photo sites to check out:

Better Stock Photos Sites

1. – Price has gone up recently ($15-$125 for web use), but there are some great artistic, authentic stock photos here

2. – Great site, great content – FREE (can you believe it?)

3. – Site is loading slower, but great ‘real’ photos here – FREE

4. – Good shots here, Also Free

5. – Also free, not a huge collection.

“Somewhat” Better Stock Photos Sites

6a. – This is free, and does contain some obviously stocky photos here – but does contain some better (authentic) stock photos

7ish. – Have to subscriber for this (so I’m out lol, I hate emails), but great shots,  Also Free

Not Better, but not horrible (semi-honorable mention) – Lower cost ($5-$20ish), the search is not great, searching for family showed me photos of a duck and a horse – Just like stocksy, less images, but specializing in diversity, worth a try if you’re absolutely stuck. – No longer updated, founder passed, specializing in nature / landscape/ architecture if you need those.

“Old Faithfuls”

Sites we still consistently rely on:

Sites We Are Still Reviewing

Some others we’ve seen but have not yet had a chance to verify, but might be worth a check:
