Job Description
Breakthrough Design Group is looking for a Web Developer / Designer to work on a full-time basis. Your primary goals will be to grow Breakthrough Design by: building beautiful web projects, client relationships, our team, our toolset, our knowledge and the positive change we make on the world, every day.
Your day-to-day life will be fluid, diverse, and eventually completely determined by you. You will be creating web & mobile designs for large-scale organizations, public, private and non-profit. You will be working with and eventually managing a small guerilla team of designers/developers, managing amazing clients’ and their work. You will be helping create beautiful web design that inspires, developing cross-browser & cross-platform, responsive HTML, CSS, & JS code (desktop, mobile, watch & more) built into the WordPress CMS. You will eventually ensure your work is accessible, easy to use, Search Engine Optimized & has high conversion rates. You will manage, understand and translate the analytics & aggregate reports that will help clients shape their futures. Last you will build yourself as a person, your abilities in web, the lives of others around you and your family life.
Requirements:
Motivated, driven, passionate about the web and your future
Demonstrable ability coding beautiful websites (Fluency in HTML, CSS, some JS is required)
Deep experience in responsive / mobile design
Design experience: moderate design ability
Experience in jQuery, WordPress, PHP (deep knowledge not required in PHP)
Experience in cross-browser compatibility in IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc
Experience working with web teams, projects, clients
SEO Experience
Experience w/ Google: Docs, Sheets, Analytics
Pluses (Optional, Nice to Have’s):
Experience with WordPress
Formal education in (or love for) art or design
Experience working with CSS Preprocessors (Less, Sass, etc)
Advanced knowledge of SEO techniques, and effects on traffic
Deeper Experience w/ PHP, MySQL, MVC Frameworks
Project Management Experience & Education
Compensation DOE + Profit Sharing
